Terms of Use

FenriX is a non-commercial community project run by students and academics. It is not a company and has no legal entity. This page is written in good faith and may be refined.

What this is

FenriX is a non-commercial community project built by students and academics. It is not a company, has no legal entity, sells nothing, and charges no fees. These terms are the rules for taking part, not a commercial contract. Nothing here creates a company, an employer, a partnership, or a paid service. Questions: hello@fenrix-ai.com.

Accepting these terms

By using the site, creating an account, registering a team, joining a cohort, downloading a dataset, submitting a file or link, or clicking to accept, you agree to follow these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you take part on behalf of a team, school, or organization, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for them. If you do not agree, do not use FenriX.

Eligibility

FenriX is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. Users under 18 may take part only with permission from a parent, guardian, school, or instructor. FenriX is not intended for unsupervised use by children under 13.

Team accounts

Cohort games use a shared team account created with an instructor-issued key. The team is responsible for everything done under its account, so keep the password inside the team and share it only with team members. We may treat actions taken through an account as authorized by that account’s team. We may suspend or disable access to protect the platform, enforce cohort rules, look into misuse, or keep a competition fair. Keys are not transferable, and access can carry an expiry date.

Cohorts and instructors

Instructors and schools that run a cohort may set the rules, deadlines, scoring, permitted tools, and consequences. They may receive the cohort’s records to run the game. Final academic or training decisions belong to the instructor or school, not to the project.

Datasets

Datasets may be simulated, synthetic, public-domain, open-data, or otherwise lawfully obtained for educational use. Unless stated otherwise, datasets are for use within your cohort only. Do not redistribute datasets outside your team, try to reconstruct holdout data, remove provenance notices, or use datasets for real-world trading, investment, or production decisions.

FenriX is not affiliated with and not endorsed by any data vendor or exchange. Any resemblance between simulated series and real market quotes is incidental.

Submissions

Your team keeps ownership of the strategies, code, files, links, and text it submits. You allow the FenriX project to store, copy, process, evaluate, show to instructors, and score your submissions so the game can run and the cohort record can be kept. The project does not sell your submissions and does not use them to train third-party foundation models.

Prohibited content

Do not upload malware, code meant to attack the platform, unlawful content, personal data that the cohort does not need, confidential information you are not allowed to use, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights. You are responsible for having the rights to submit and use your materials.

Scoring is not advice

FenriX may use automated tools and AI assistance to evaluate submissions, detect anomalies, and generate scores. Scores are for education and the game only. They are not professional, financial, legal, academic-certification, employment, or investment advice. Real markets and real money are out of scope.

Fair play

Competitive games only work when the match is honest. Do not cheat, exploit bugs for ranking, share registration keys outside the cohort, or automate play where the rules say humans decide. We may remove scores or access to protect a match.

Project materials

The FenriX name, the wolf mark, the software, the games, and the site content belong to the project’s contributors. Do not copy, sell, or build a competing service from them without permission. Quoting with attribution is welcome.

No warranty, no liability, no entity to sue

FenriX is provided free, as is, and as available, with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a purpose, accuracy, availability, or non-infringement. You use the site, the games, and the datasets entirely at your own risk.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, no one involved in FenriX, including its student and academic contributors, organizers, and any host institution, is liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising from your use of FenriX. Because FenriX is a non-commercial community project with no legal entity and charges no fees, there is no company behind it and no entity to make a claim against. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use FenriX and for what you submit. If your misuse of FenriX, your breach of these rules, or your infringement of someone else’s rights causes a problem for others, that responsibility is yours, not the project’s or its contributors’.

Interpreting these terms

These terms are read under the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without forcing any particular court or venue. Any mandatory consumer or student protections of your home country still apply where they do.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Meaningful changes are posted on this page and, where it makes sense, noted in the platform. Continued use after the date above means you accept the updated terms.
